From 26 till 29 September 2011 the Mid-Term review committee will visit the Netherlands to assess the progress and future goals and perspectives of the CatchBio programme. The committee will report its conclusions to the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation.
The Mid-Term Review assessment of the CatchBio programme will be an important reference point for the CatchBio consortium. The Review committee consists of the following experts:

- Prof. Dr M. (Matthias) Beller, Universität Rostock (Germany)
- Prof. Dr G. (Gerard) van Koten, University of Cardiff (UK)
- Prof. Dr J. (Josef) Spitzer, Consultant and part time professor at Graz University of Technology (Austria)
- Prof. Dr J. (Jens) Weitkamp, University of Stuttgart (Germany)

Tuesday 27 September (Utrecht)
The Review Committee will interview the Management Team, several project leaders of CatchBio reserearch projects and representatives of industrial stakeholders.
Wednesday 28 September (Geleen, Stein-Urmond)
The Review committee will visit the Chemelot site in Geleen in the South of the Netherlands. In the afternoon all CatchBio PhD and postdoc researchers will present a poster on their CatchBio research project. The members of the assessment committee have the opportunity to have discussions with CatchBio researchers. At the end of the day the committee will draft its final conclusions.
Thursday 29 September (Amsterdam)
The CatchBio consortium will gather for the third edition of the CatchBio Open Symposium. During this day various keynote speakers will contribute to an interesting scientific programme on catalytic biomass conversion. The symposium will offer an excellent opportunity to conclude the Mid-Term Review with an appealing scientific programme (more information on the programme of the symposium).
