International Congress on “Catalysis for Biorefineries” (CatBior)
4-7 October 2011, Torremolinos (Málaga, Spain)
From 4 till 7 October 2011 an International Congress devoted to fundamental and applied research on non-enzymatic catalytic processes for biomass transformations is organized in Málaga (Spain). “Catalysis for Biorefineries” (CatBior) is especially focused on innovative catalytic processes, novel bioproducts and biofuels, new catalysts, and engineering/molecular aspects of the process.
TOPICS
· Transformation of lignocellulosic biomass, carbohydrates and sugar-derived products.· Transformation of oil, fats and oleo-derived chemicals.
· Thermal and thermochemical transformations of biomass and derived products.
A book of abstracts of all accepted contributions will be distributed at the Congress. The plenary lectures and oral presentations will be published in a special issue of a peer-reviewed international journal.
The scientific program of the Congress will consist of 5 plenary lectures, a keynote lecture, about 30 oral presentations and 50-70 posters. Selection of abstracts and their mode of presentation will be decided by the scientific committee.

CatchBio researchers are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts for this appealing conference on catalytic biomass conversion. Deadline for submission of abstracts: April 1st, 2011. Don’t forget to submit your abstract for approval to info@catchbio.nl.
