Generic research

The three main application clusters have defined several cluster challenges that aim to establish chemical principles and key process steps to realize low-oxygen content and high-hydrogen content product streams. Based on this, two generic challenges have been defined, from which all other clusters will benefit.

These cluster challenges are:

1. Tailoring catalyst robustness and selectivity for biomass conversion
2. Developing novel integrated catalysis, reactors and separation concepts
